2015  Incandescent 12 member amplified mixed ensemble  7:00 min.

written for the CEPROMUSIC Ensemble

dedicated to visual artist Sandra Pani

Incandescent is a collection of non-aligned strictly ordered gestures which result in an always-moving sonic object. Asymmetrical proportions, contrasting and analogous colors and attacks, bursts of energy, tangled boundaries, and immovable inner cells combine to represent an hyperactive, insatiable and non-fixed shape object as seen from different angles and perspectives.

Incandescent is inspired by the work of Mexican visual artist Sandra Pani. It was specially composed to be premiered at the opening of her exhibition Denudatio Perfecta at the Palacio de Medicina in Mexico City on February 12 of 2015 and at a concert at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City on February 14 of 2015. Both concerts were performed by the Ensamble of CEPROMUSIC (Mexican Center for the Performance and Promotion of Contemporary Music) and conductor José Luis Castillo.
